Leicester City FC
Leicester City Football Club is a Premier League team based in Leicester in the East Midlands. The club was founded in 1884 under the name Leicester Fosse F.C before joining the Football League in 1894 and changing its name to Leicester City in 1919. In the 2015-16 season Leicester City shattered all expectations by winning the Premier League, its first top tier title, and becoming just one of seven clubs to have won it since it began in 1992. Prior to this the club had won the League Cup on three occasions. Leicester City’s home ground is the King Power Stadium where it has been based since 2011, the stadium has a capacity of 32,261. The club’s current manager is Brendan Rodgers.
