🎾Monte Carlo Open
The Monte Carlo Masters is an annual professional men’s tennis tournament held in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France. The tournament takes place every April-May time and is part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour Masters 1000. Since 2009, the Monte Carlo Masters became the only Masters 1000 tournament not to have a mandatory player commitment but despite this, most of the top players still choose to play, which is a testament to the event itself. Through Zenseats you can find the best tickets and hospitality packages to enjoy this esteemed experience in style.
History
The Monte Carlo Masters began in 1897, and became an ‘open’ event in 1969, meaning professional players were permitted to enter the tournament alongside amateurs. From 1970 to 1973 and between 1976 and 1989, it was a major tournament of the Grand Prix Tour as part of the Grand Prix Super Series top tier events. From 1974 to 1977 the tournament was part of the World Championship Tennis (WCT) circuit and in 1990 it became an ATP Championship Series Single Week tennis event.
